Star Chart Kids

Chores that feel like play | 100% free, parents in control

Star Chart turns chores and daily routines into a game kids actually want to play. Children earn stars for brushing their teeth, finishing homework, tidying up, and other real-life tasks, then use those stars to unlock and customize 3D pets, avatars, and worlds. Parents create the tasks and approve every reward. Unlike most chore apps, Star Chart is completely free, with no ads, subscriptions, loot boxes, or pay-to-win mechanics.

Star Chart Kids started at home. As a father of two, I kept seeing the same pattern: chore charts worked for a few days, then the excitement disappeared and the chart became one more thing we had to remind the kids about.

I'm also an engineer who loves building things, so I started creating a version that felt more like a shared family game than another parenting system.

Kids earn stars for brushing their teeth, tidying up, doing homework and completing other everyday routines. They can use those stars to unlock cozy 3D pets, avatar items, worlds and rewards chosen by their parents. Parents stay in control of the tasks, star values and approvals.

I didn't want childhood routines hidden behind subscriptions, ads or manipulative game mechanics. Star Chart Kids is free, works offline and has no ads, loot boxes, streak pressure or punishment mechanics.
An optional account lets families sync progress across devices.

It's still early, and I'm building it around real family feedback. I would genuinely love to know: which daily routine causes the most friction in your home?
