I'm a CNC machinist with 20 years of experience. I've worked in a lot of different workshops and most seem to have the same few issues. 1. They use paper to track labour hours, it's often dirty, ineligible and mostly inaccurate. 2. Job tracking is done via a central spreadsheet that everyone in the workshop has access to. The problem is that most tradies aren't really tech savvy , so expecting them to mark their tasks as complete on a massive excel spreadsheet is asking a lot, and often things go wrong. I get called nearly every week because someone has pressed the wrong button and accidentally replaced a crucial date with the letter "f" - they were trying to search a job number and used ctrl+f but because they were typing in a cell, it typed f instead of opening the search. 3. All jobs require photo evidence, and the photos add up quickly. It's important to keep these photos sorted for the customer to see progress of their job. Every day, someone has to manually gather every photo camera and upload to the pc, then manually sort each photo out. This task can take an hour or more per day. These are the core problems I saw over and over, so I designed Stagetrac as a solution to these. I added some great features like live tracking, where supervisors or managers can see in real time what workers are busy with. I am constantly adding new features but I'm at the point where it is ready to go to workshops across Australia. I'm at an important point in the business now of marketing and selling Stagetrac.
