Hi everyone!
This project started with one simple question.
Why should SRM students spend time searching subject names and credits every semester just to calculate their GPA?
I looked at official SRM 2021 regulation documents and quickly realized biggest challenge was not writing code. It was collecting and organizing all subject and credit data from long and messy documents.
That process took several days before I could even start building calculator.
Goal was simple. Remove manual work.
Now students only need to select their course, semester and grades. Calculator automatically loads correct subjects and credits, then calculates GPA instantly.
Building this taught me that making something feel simple often takes most work behind scenes.
