Multiplayer Wordle racing, live against friends or strangers
Everyone in the room gets the same secret 5-letter word at the same moment. Fastest correct solve wins the round and climbs a global leaderboard. Private rooms with invite links, quick match against the world, solo sprints. Free in any browser, guests welcome, no ads.
Wordle and other word games are great, and they are games our family grew up on. It is however mostly you against a puzzle, once a day. I kept wanting to race people: same word, same moment, fastest solve wins. Coming from a game development background, i've decided to introduce Sprintle.
A few things I care about from a game design aspect:
No spoilers. Mid-race you see your rivals' boards as colors only, never letters. You can enlarge them for added stress! The server never sends the answer or anyone's letters until the round ends, so there is nothing to cheat with, even in the network tab.
Zero friction was the goal. No account, no install. Tap a friend's invite link and you are racing as a guest in seconds. A free account is only for keeping points on the global leaderboard.
Free is always free. No ads, unlimited rounds. I did add an optional one-time premium pack (groups, spectating, skins, and distractors, which let you drop a quake or a letter stampede on a rival's screen mid-race) which supports the game development journey, but the core game is completely free.
It runs in any browser at sprintle.app, and the Android app is on Google Play with iOS on the way, just waiting on the review process.
Honest feedback very welcome, especially on the racing feel and scoring.
