Spotter
AI-Powered Tracker for Price Drops/Restocks/Ryokan Vacancy
Existing trackers fail for 3 reasons: HTML scrapers break on layout updates, API/JSON requests get blocked by anti-bot walls, and pixel-by-pixel screenshot comparisons trigger endless false positives. Spotter changes the game. Our AI Vision Engine doesn't just look at pixels; it understands semantic context (e.g., "Sold Out" changing to "Buy"). It reliably tracks Price, Stock, and Bookings on any site, delivering instant native iOS push notifications without the noise.
It all started with a missed reservation at Ginzan Onsen. 🏔️
While planning a New Year’s Eve trip to Ginzan Onsen last year, I realized that the best ryokans open their reservations six months in advance. The reality? Manually monitoring these sites is nearly impossible. By the time I checked back, my top choice was fully booked. I was lucky enough to snag the very last room at another ryokan, but that "Aha!" moment stayed with me.
I started noticing this pain point everywhere—from travelers missing hotel openings to collectors paying US$10+ just to be notified when a Labubu blind box is back in stock.
Then I realize existing "web trackers" are outdated. They track simple text changes, which fails on complex, dynamic websites like booking engines or modern e-commerce stores.
That’s why I built Spotter.

Who hunted Spotter?
Spotter was hunted by Kent Fung. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
