Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm the maker of Snip2Field.
What inspired it: I kept seeing the same complaint everywhere — you can't select
the IBAN in a PDF invoice (it's a scan, so the "text" is really an image), so
people retype 22-digit account numbers by hand and hope they didn't swap two.
So I built a tiny Windows tool for exactly that. Press a hotkey, drag a box over
the IBAN (or the amount, date, invoice number), and it reads it and copies it —
ready to paste.
How the approach evolved: it started as "just OCR the box," but testing on real
invoices changed my mind — OCR misreads small digits constantly (a 0 becomes an 8),
and for a number you paste into a payment form, a confident wrong answer is the
worst possible outcome. So verification became the product: every IBAN is checked
against the ISO 13616 checksum, and anything it can't verify is flagged instead of
silently copied. It also runs 100% offline — your invoices never leave your machine.
