I'd spend hours trying to write Reddit posts that didn't sound like ads, trying to find Facebook groups that actually had my target audience, scrolling TikTok looking for videos I could comment on. It was exhausting and I was terrible at it.
The "marketing advice" out there is useless for solo devs. "Build an audience." "Create a content strategy." "Run ads bro." I didn't want a content strategy. I just wanted people to use the thing I built.
