Hi everyone! 👋 I built SipIt because I wanted a better way to keep track of all the drinks I wanted to try and the recipes I actually made.
Drink inspiration is everywhere, from TikTok and Instagram to YouTube, Pinterest, screenshots, and notes. But I kept running into the same problems. Sometimes a video didn’t include a full recipe, sometimes it moved too quickly to follow, and even when the recipe was in the description, every creator used a completely different format. Some were neatly organized, while others were just one long block of text that was hard to read.
Even when I saved a reel or post, it would eventually get buried under everything else I had saved, and I’d completely forget about it.
That made me wish there was one dedicated place for drink recipes where everything followed a consistent and easy-to-read format. Most recipe apps also focus heavily on food, while drinks are usually treated as just a small category.
I’ve also always enjoyed trying custom drinks and experimenting with Starbucks and Dunkin’ orders. But I never had a great way to record what I ordered, what I customized, what I liked, or what I wanted to change the next time I ordered it.
SipIt started as a simple place to save and share drink recipes, but over time it became something more personal too. It’s both a drink recipe community and a personal drink journal. You can discover what other people are making, save recipes you want to try, record your own creations and custom orders, organize your favorites, look back at what you’ve made, and keep experimenting.
I also wanted discovery to feel more personal. SipIt helps you find drinks that match your taste, vibe, and cravings at any given moment, while giving you recommendations based on the kinds of drinks and flavors you like.
I wanted SipIt to feel both useful and social, with a dedicated space for everything from coffee and matcha to tea, boba, smoothies, and whatever else you’re drinking.
