Hi Product Hunt! I’m Elizabeth, founder of Selfyless. Selfyless started with a question I couldn’t shake: What if social media gave more than it took? I love what social media made possible - seeing the world through other people’s eyes, staying connected across distance, discovering ideas and preserving pieces of our lives. But somewhere along the way, sharing became increasingly tied to performance: likes, follower counts, algorithms, comparison and the pressure to put ourselves at the center of everything. Becoming a mother made me think much more seriously about what kind of social technology we’re handing to the next generation. I didn’t want the answer to simply be “less technology.” I wondered whether we could design it differently. So I built Selfyless. There are no selfies, public popularity metrics, algorithmic feeds or ads. Perspectives are shared chronologically. Reflections replace conventional public comments. Circles create smaller spaces for people who matter to you, while Journal and Archive let the things you share become part of a personal record worth keeping. One of the biggest lessons while building it has been that healthier social technology can’t just be about removing harmful mechanics. It still has to be joyful, beautiful and genuinely worth coming back to. Selfyless launches today as an experiment in what social media might look like if we optimized less for attention and more for perspective, connection and memory. I’d genuinely love your feedback — especially what feels different, what doesn’t yet, and what you’d want from a quieter social platform. Thank you for taking a look. ❤️ Elizabeth
