Selah is a free Mac app for praying during the day. Every 30 minutes a small bar grows out of your notch with one verse. Tap Begin, breathe and pray, then tap Amen and it folds away. You don't need an account, and nothing leaves your Mac.
I wanted to pray more during the workday and kept forgetting. The reminder apps I tried either nagged me or opened a whole Bible study screen. I only wanted a short pause.
So I built Selah. The word (SEE-lah) is a pause marked in the Psalms.
Every 30 minutes by default, a small bar grows out of your Mac's notch with one verse from the KJV. Tap Begin and a ring breathes with you while you pray. Tap Amen and it folds back into the notch. If you're mid-meeting you can push it off five minutes, and active hours keep it quiet at night.
There's no account and no analytics, and the app never touches the network. It's 1.1 MB of Swift and everything stays on your Mac. Streaks count days with at least one Amen, and a missed day is never held against you.
It's free forever on the Mac App Store (macOS 14+). Macs without a notch get a small pill at the top of the screen instead.
