Hey everyone! I'm a solo dev and this is my first launch on Product Hunt.
I built ScaryButCute because I noticed a lot of people around me love horror movies but are too scared to watch them alone, or want to watch but just can't handle the fear.
Instead of blocking the video or muting the audio, I thought what if you could fill the space around the video with something familiar and cute? So that's exactly what this does. It places a wall of cute animal photos around the video player while the content plays normally in the center.
It's also great for watching horror/thrillers with your girlfriend or family — whoever gets scared can turn it on, and there's something fun about shrinking the video when you feel a jump scare coming.
I'd love to hear your feedback — what animals should I add next? What other platforms would you want supported? Any ideas welcome!
