Saydown
Speak it becomes a sticky note that finds you on time
Tap right ⌘ and speak. Saydown turns what you say into sticky notes on your Mac desktop — and when one is due, it comes and finds you. No account, no cloud, nothing collected.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I kept losing thoughts on the way to writing them down. So I built Saydown.
How it works:
- Tap right ⌘ and say what's on your mind — "pick up Anna at six… and we're out of coffee"
- Every thought becomes its own sticky note on your desktop — timed if you said a time, in whatever language you spoke
- White = no time. Amber = counting down. Red = due — the note floats above every window and glows until you deal with it
The idea behind it: a notification vanishes the moment you swipe it.
A sticky note can't be swiped away.
Honest notes:
- Free beta. No account, no analytics — everything runs on your Mac
- Optional: add your own API key (Anthropic / OpenAI / DeepSeek) and it rewrites rambling into clean notes. Without one, notes keep your exact words
- macOS warns once on first open (notarization lands before 1.0): System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway
Tell me where it breaks and what you wish it did — I read everything: [email protected]

Who hunted Saydown?
Saydown was hunted by Yi Xiao. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
