Find synonyms. 180s. How many can you find?
Ripple gives every player the same word each day and 3 minutes to find as many synonyms as possible. Each word has 10 to 30 valid answers. A streak multiplier rewards consecutive correct guesses but resets on any mistake, creating real risk/reward tension. A hint system gives the part of speech and definition without revealing any synonyms. The database was built using an AI powered curation pipeline, cross referenced against WordNet and Moby Thesaurus. Free, no ads. Leaderboard coming soon.
Hey everyone! I built Ripple because I love daily word games like Wordle but wanted something that tests vocabulary breadth rather than a single guess. The idea is simple: you get one word and 3 minutes to find as many synonyms as you can.
The trickiest part of the build was creating a fair synonym database. I couldn’t just use a thesaurus because the results were too loose, so I built a curation pipeline using the Claude API with dual prompt validation, then cross referenced everything against WordNet and the Moby Thesaurus. The result is 633 words, each with 10 to 30 validated synonyms.
This is my first app. I designed and built it solo using React Native and Expo, and it went from concept to App Store approval in under a month. Leaderboard and friend competition are next on the roadmap.
