Revelog brings community chat, voice, and public discussions together. Discover threads across communities, join the conversation without joining every server first, and stick around when you find a community you like.
I started building Revelog because I got tired of bouncing between different apps depending on what kind of conversation I wanted to have. One app for chat and voice, another for longer discussions, another place to actually discover communities or conversations worth joining.
I liked the community side of apps like Discord, but I also liked the way longer discussions could stick around and be discovered on platforms like Reddit. I wanted to see what it would look like if those things actually worked together instead of being split apart.
That eventually became Revelog. Servers, chat, voice, DMs, threads, and discovery all live in the same place, with public discussions able to reach people outside the community they started in.
It’s still early, and a lot of the product has changed while I’ve been building and testing it. Right now I’m mostly interested in getting it in front of people I don’t know, seeing how they actually use it, and figuring out what needs to change from there.
