Redactosaurus
Stop sharing sensitive data with AI
Redactosaurus helps you avoid accidentally sharing sensitive information when using AI chatbots. It detects potential PII like emails, phone numbers, and addresses in prompts and highlights them before sending. You can mask or ignore them easily. Fully open-source, runs locally in your browser, requires no internet connection, and is completely free.
Hi everyone! 👋
I'm excited to introduce Redactosaurus, a small privacy tool built to help people avoid accidentally sharing sensitive information with AI chatbots.
As AI tools become part of everyday workflows, it's easy to paste or type prompts that contain personal or confidential data. Redactosaurus highlights potential PII in real time and lets you mask it before sending your prompt.
This project is open source, runs locally in your browser and your computer, requires no internet connection, and is completely free.
The goal is to make AI interactions safer and more privacy-aware.
I’d really appreciate your feedback, ideas, and suggestions on how we can improve it!
