Hey PH, Dylan here. Qulok started as a way to hide my messy desktop while recording demos. After testing it I realised the lock in part was the actual product, so that's what it opens on now. Tick the windows you need for this block of work, press Lock in (or Ctrl+Alt+L from anywhere) and Qulok minimises everything else, hides the desktop icons and the taskbar, silences notifications and runs a timer in the corner. Pomodoro if you want it, with a Break panel between rounds. When time's up, or when you say so, everything comes back exactly how it was. New in the latest version: Lock in can swap in a clean wallpaper and put yours back afterwards, even after a crash. There's also a switch that keeps Slack, Teams, Discord and Outlook out of the way if they pop back up mid session. Demo mode is the same idea pointed at screen sharing. The Restore pill and the timer are hidden from screen capture, so they never show up on a call or in a recording. What it leaves out on purpose: website and app blocking. It tidies the desk and leaves the rest up to you. 7 days free then $9 a month, cancel any time at qulok.com/manage with your key, no account needed. Or $59 once. 2 PCs either way. The trial takes a card at checkout, but cancel before day 7 and you pay nothing. The installer isn't code signed yet, so SmartScreen warns once. Genuine question: should it block apps and sites too, or is a clean desk enough?
