ProntoFax

Send a fax from your phone. $2.99. No subscription.

Most fax services assume you fax regularly: subscriptions, free trials that convert to $18/mo, desktop-first flows requiring PDFs. ProntoFax is built for the person who needs to send one fax to a court, the IRS, or an insurer — probably from their phone. Snap a pic of your pages pay $2.99 flat, and you're only charged if the fax actually delivers. Fully bilingual English/Spanish end to end, because a huge share of one-off fax senders are Spanish-speaking and ignored by every incumbent.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 Solo founder here. ProntoFax started with a stupidly common problem: every so often, normal people get told "you have to fax this" — by a court, the IRS, an insurance company, a doctor's office. And when that happens, your options are terrible. Sign up for an $18/month subscription to send one fax? Find a FedEx Office and pay per page? Dig up a scanner from 2009? So I built the thing I wanted: open the site on your phone, photograph your paper pages (no scanner, no PDF wrangling), enter the fax number, pay $2.99. That's it. No account, no subscription, no trial that quietly renews. Two things I'm particularly proud of: You're only charged if the fax delivers. Your card is authorized when you hit send, but we only capture the payment on confirmed delivery. Fax lines are flaky — busy signals, dead numbers — and I didn't think people should pay for failures. If it doesn't go through, the hold just drops off. It's fully bilingual, English and Spanish, end to end. Not a translated landing page — the entire flow, receipts included. A huge share of people forced to fax things (immigration paperwork, court documents, benefits forms) are Spanish speakers, and every incumbent ignores them. Under the hood it's serverless AWS with an image pipeline that deskews and cleans up your photos so they arrive legible on the other end — happy to nerd out about that if anyone's curious. Would love your feedback, especially: what was your last "wait, I have to FAX this?!" moment? Those stories are exactly what shaped this product.
