Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built Practix because I was tired of "study everything" being the only advice before an exam. Upload your lecture slides (and a past paper if you have one), and Practix reads every page, works out your professor's exam style and likely topics, and writes you a timed mock exam that matches it — graded with partial credit and an explanation of why each question is there. A few things I care about that might not be obvious from the screenshots: - It's BYOK, not a proxy. You paste in your own OpenRouter/Claude/GPT/Gemini key and requests go straight from your browser to that provider — never through my servers. That means it costs me $0 to run regardless of traffic, and I'm not incentivized to make it worse to push you toward a paid tier. - Your slides never leave your browser — PDFs are parsed client-side, only extracted text goes to the model you picked. - No signup needed to try it. Click "Try demo exam" and you get the full Canvas-style UI with sample content, no key required. There's a 10-minute "mini quiz" mode too, for right after a lecture — smaller ask, quick signal on what didn't stick. Would love feedback, especially from anyone who tries it with their actual course material: did the mock exam feel like something your professor would really write? What's missing?
