I built PomoEfficiency as a full-stack project to create a productivity tool that I would genuinely enjoy using myself — simple, focused, and easy to get started with. I’ve always liked the Pomodoro Technique, but I often felt that existing tools were either too basic or overloaded with features.
So I decided to build my own.
As a full-stack developer, I also wanted to challenge myself by building something from scratch that could become a real product — not just another demo project sitting on GitHub.
I started with a simple idea: combine a clean Pomodoro timer with task management, without making the experience unnecessarily complicated.
The project evolved quite a lot along the way. I had to think about the user experience, SEO, deployment, performance, and all the small details that come with putting a real application online. I also learned that building the product is only half the challenge — getting people to discover and use it is a completely different problem.
PomoEfficiency is now live and anyone can try it.
I’m still very much at the beginning, and that’s actually what makes this launch exciting for me. I’d love to hear what you think, what could be improved, and whether you find it useful.
