I'm the maker behind **Perfect Timing**. I built this because I was tired of the constant "Am I too late?" spiral.
**The Story:**
For years, I kept a messy note of random "optimal ages" I found online—best time to learn a language, switch careers, freeze eggs, pick up an instrument. It only made my age anxiety worse. So I decided to turn that anxiety into something visual and useful.
**What It Does:**
Slide your age (10–80) and see the status of 50+ life windows across education, career, health, family, and cognition. Each item has:
- A **"locking rate"** — how hard it becomes to start late
- A **"remediation cost"** label — from "still natural" to "irreversible"
- A **source citation** — everything is backed by published research (Lenneberg, Ericsson, etc.)
**The Stack:**
Plain HTML, CSS, and Vanilla JavaScript. The data is a single static JSON file. No frameworks. No backend. No signups. No tracking. It runs entirely in your browser—your age never leaves the page.
**Why I'm Sharing:**
This is my first real side project. It's completely free and non-commercial. I just wanted something like this to exist in the world. If it helps even one person reframe their anxiety about "late starts," that's a win.
