I built PDFCrate because I kept running into the same
frustration — PDF tools that advertise "free" but then
watermark your output, limit you to 2 conversions per day,
or force you to create an account just to merge two files.
The problem I wanted to solve: make a PDF toolkit that is
genuinely free with no hidden catches.

wanted to do more than just convert files.
