Hi Product Hunt, I'm Aymane, and I build pdf2text.
The problem: bank statements, invoices and receipts arrive as PDFs, often scans or phone photos. Copy-paste turns them into a mess, so people retype them or pay for a subscription they need twice a year.
What pdf2text does:
- Reads PDFs, scans and photos with AI OCR and gives you Excel, CSV, JSON, Word or plain text
- For bank statements: every transaction as a row, a running-balance check to catch misread rows, and QuickBooks/Xero CSV exports
- Shows each result beside the original page so you can check it before you download
Two things I care about:
1. Pricing for occasional use. The first page of every document is free, and you can pay once ($9 for up to 25 pages) instead of subscribing.
2. Honest accuracy. We hand-checked 82 real-world pages: 98% of numbers came out right. The method and the weak spots (plain-text pages score lower; only 3 phone photos in the set) are public at pdf2text.ai/en/accuracy/
