Pause5 is a minimal Android app designed for late-night overthinking. It detects restless phone behavior and sends a single, well-timed nudge. Instead of endless content or meditation, it guides a short cognitive reset and helps you stop using your phone. Built to be used less, not more.
This app shouldn’t be used every day. That’s the point.
Most apps try to keep you engaged. Pause5 tries to do the opposite.
At night, it’s easy to say “just 5 more minutes” and end up stuck in your head or your phone.
I built this as a small intervention for that exact moment. It watches quietly, sends one nudge, and gives you a short reset. No feeds, no streaks, nothing to keep you inside the app.
If it works, you’ll use it less over time. That’s kind of the goal.
