Hi Product Hunt I'm Astrid, and I built PatternLab from South Africa.
Here's the honest backstory: I spent 13 years in logistics watching teams make decisions based on assumptions nobody had surfaced. When I moved into the product space, I found the same problem ; teams would plan research rounds without first articulating what they were actually assuming about their users.
PatternLab exists to fix that gap. It's a pre-research intelligence tool.
You describe your concept, and it synthesizes public user experience signals into probabilistic archetypes, testable hypotheses, and a complete research preparation pack.
Three things I want to be upfront about:
1.This is not a replacement for talking to users.
- Every brief includes an epistemic notice that says exactly that.
- PatternLab makes human research better ; it doesn't replace it.
2.The archetypes are probabilistic, not predictive.

3.I'm building this solo with no funding.
