Most job trackers are complicated spreadsheets or expensive paid tools. I built PATHGRID to be simple, free, and actually helpful. What makes it different: - AI extracts job details in real-time - Resume suggestions that match the role - Store up to 6 resumes in one place - Password reset via security question (no email needed) - Drag-drop Kanban board - CSV export It's not fancy. It just works. Completely free. Built in 1 week because I was tired of spreadsheets.
I built PATHGRID because I was drowning in spreadsheets during my own job search. Tracking 20+ applications across different companies, trying to remember follow-up dates, and rewriting resumes for each role was exhausting.
I wanted a tool that:
- Automatically extracts job details from a description (no manual typing)
- Helps me write better resume bullets tailored to each role
- Shows me exactly where I stand with drag-drop Kanban
- Reminds me when to follow up
- Stores my different resume versions in one place
- Exports everything to CSV when I need to share or backup my data
I added AI parsing using Groq, Gemini, and OpenRouter with automatic fallback (so it's always free). The security question feature means users can reset passwords without setting up email - perfect for people who just want to try the app.
After 1 week of building, PATHGRID is live and completely free. I hope it helps other job seekers as much as it helped me.
