PathGlot

Learn a language by walking its streets, without the flight.

PathGlot gives you short quests in real cities using street view: walk a city in Madrid, greet the local historian, ask what the bronze statue is, order a coffee. Your guide is a live AI voice who only speaks the language you're learning. It answers out loud, labels the places it mentions, and nudges you back when you slip into English. Tick off the objectives, keep the streak.

Hey PH, I'm Chase. Digital language learning has always been incredibly boring for me, so I wanted to recreate one of the most engaging experiences: talking to locals in a foreign city where everything is in your target language. Some honest caveats before anyone finds them for me: Street View is static photos, so it's more walking tour than game world. You need a mic and a decent connection. The replies still miss sometimes. And it's for practicing a language, not learning one from zero. I recommended getting your basics elsewhere, then coming here to actually use them. Runs in the browser. Nine languages: Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and English for ESL learners. Free 7 day trial, no card. iOS in progress. I'd rather hear what's broken than what's nice.
