Who hunted Parallel?
Parallel was hunted by Hoa Bui. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community. Hi Product Hunt! I'm Hoa, the maker of Parallel.
Parallel is for creators who want vertical and widescreen footage from the same take, or want to show a scene and their reaction together.
• Dual records separate portrait (9:16) and landscape (16:9) videos at the same time using one camera.
• Front + rear recording combines both perspectives on supported devices, with picture-in-picture, split screen, and top/bottom layouts.
• You can move and resize the floating camera, swap the main view, and remove the front-camera background on your device.
Recording and processing stay on your device. No account is required, and you choose when to save to Photos or share. The app supports iPhone and iPad, with English and Vietnamese.
I'd love to hear which workflow matters more to you: capturing both formats for different platforms, or recording both sides of a moment. Feedback on framing, layouts, and device compatibility would be especially helpful.
The gallery uses illustrative scenes to demonstrate the recording layouts. Thanks for trying Parallel!
