Hey PH! Ovid is a bilingual reader I built because I couldn't get along with the usual "paragraph-original / paragraph-translation" bilingual books — my attention kept slipping.
Most of the time I just want to read. Big gulps. Stay inside the story. Only occasionally do I want to see how a sentence actually reads in my native language.
So: upload an EPUB, Ovid translates it in the background, and while reading you tap a paragraph to flip its language. That's it. No split view, no hover popups, no reading-mode switch — just one tap.
Would love your feedback — especially from folks who read foreign-language books regularly. 🙏

Who hunted Ovid?
Ovid was hunted by Jared Su. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
