Outmake
Run AI models on your Mac. Free, no account.
Outmake downloads open models from Hugging Face and runs them on your Mac: chat, pictures, video, voices and dictation. Before you download a model, it reads your Mac's memory and tells you whether it will run. Chat runs on llama.cpp, pictures on stable-diffusion.cpp, voices on sherpa-onnx and MLX. Free, no account. Needs Apple silicon and macOS 26.
I wanted to run AI on my M1 Pro without a terminal, a subscription or an account. Every local AI tool I tried assumed I knew which model fits in 16 GB, which quantization to pick and how to start a server. Outmake does that part: it checks your Mac, shows what will run, downloads it and runs it.
Then I kept going: pictures, video, voices, dictation and agents, all on the same Mac. The launch film is narrated by the app's own voices.
This is 0.2, a free beta. Tell me what breaks and which models you want next.

Who hunted Outmake?
Outmake was hunted by Dane Bentley. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
