Hi Product Hunt. I'm Hiroshi, and I built this on my own in Japan.
For the last few years I've worked as a Gallup-certified CliftonStrengths coach. Somewhere past five hundred sessions I noticed the same thing over and over: what moved people was almost never my advice. It was the moment they put into words something they already knew but had never said out loud, usually about what they value.
The trouble is that it only happens inside a session. Once a month, if you are lucky enough to have a coach at all. I tried general chat AI for this and kept hitting the same wall. It is extraordinarily good at agreeing with you, and agreeing with someone does not help them choose. So I built something for one job only.
- One question arrives each day. One line is enough.
- What you write moves a values map with 8 axes, paired as a seesaw, so when one rises another comes down. A flat list of traits tells you nothing about the trade-offs you actually live with.
- A coach that has read your map talks it through. It asks rather than advises, which some people find annoying, and I think that is the correct amount of annoying.
- Grounded in Schwartz's theory of basic human values, reproduced across 49 cultural groups and 53,472 people (Schwartz & Cieciuch, 2021, Assessment 29(5)). The 8 axes and 16 characters are our own arrangement on top of that theory, not part of it, and not there to sort people into boxes.
- You start with a name. No account, no email. All eight axes are open on the free plan.
Two honest things. This was built in Japanese first, and the English shipped recently, so there may be corners where Japanese still shows through. If you find one, telling me exactly where is the single most useful thing you can send me today. And it does not diagnose anything and is not a substitute for professional care. Keeping people dependent on it is explicitly not something I count as success.
