NotebookBloom
Turn NotebookLM into a real research workbench
A Chrome extension that turns NotebookLM — now Gemini Notebook — into a real research workbench. NotebookLM understands your sources but stops where real study begins. NotebookBloom adds what students and researchers need: • Citations — any source to APA, MLA, Chicago, BibTeX • Anki export with the source attached, fully traceable • Cross-notebook search across everything at once • Folders, tags, prompts, export to MD / PDF / HTML Data stays in your browser; sync is optional. Built solo.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm the solo dev behind NotebookBloom. Quick story on why it exists.
I use NotebookLM every day for research (yep, the one Google just renamed Gemini Notebook), and I kept hitting the same wall: it's brilliant at understanding my sources, then leaves me on my own for everything after — pulling a clean citation, turning a source into flashcards, searching across notebooks. So I'd bounce between three other tools and copy-paste half the day.
NotebookBloom is the layer I wanted for that "after the source" part:
– grab any source, get an APA / MLA / Chicago / BibTeX citation
– export to Anki with the original source still attached, so cards stay traceable
– search across all your notebooks at once
It's a Chrome extension, everything stays local, and cloud sync (optional) runs through your own Google Drive — I don't store any of your data.
Built solo and in public. It's still early and I'm actively shaping it, so I'd genuinely love to hear: how are you getting citations out of NotebookLM right now? Whatever's clunky for you is probably what I fix next.
