NGX View Builder
Build Angular screens visually, or let your AI build them
Most visual builders host your app on their platform. NGX View Builder lives inside your own Angular app. Drag forms, tables, charts and layouts onto a canvas, connect them to your APIs and logic, and save the view as JSON. The runtime renders it with your styles and components, so screens change without a redeploy. AI assistants can build views too: the built-in MCP server lets Claude, Cursor or Copilot edit the designer live while you watch.
Hi everyone!
Today NGX View Builder reaches 1.0, its first stable release, and we wanted to share it here.
Some of you may remember it from the first launch, when it was a solo project after 2.5 years of work. Since then it has grown up: the product now belongs to Heyde Labs, a small company set up to develop and support it long term.
The idea hasn't changed. Angular teams kept hitting the same wall: someone needs one more field, a new filter or a different column order, and it turns into a ticket, a code change and a deploy. NGX View Builder is a designer that lives inside your own Angular app. You lay out a screen on a canvas, connect it to your API and rules, and the view is saved as JSON. The runtime renders it with your own styles and components.
What's new since last time:
• An MCP server, so Claude, Cursor or Copilot can build and edit views in the live designer while you watch
• OpenAPI import: point it at your API and pick data sources from a list
• A logic map that shows how fields, rules and actions connect
• Accessible output (checked against WCAG 2.2 AA) and every label translatable
1.0 also means a stable API you can build on. The runtime is free to use, the builder needs a license. You can try the full builder in your browser without installing anything: https://demo.ngxviewbuilder.io/b...
Thanks to everyone who gave feedback the first time. A lot of it shaped this release. We'll be here all day answering questions.
