Hi Product Hunt. I'm Pabath. I built NERVE.
For a long time I was bad at talking to girls. Not because I had nothing to say. I'd overthink the first sentence, miss signals that were obvious in hindsight, then lie awake afterwards rewriting the whole conversation in my head.
The friends who were good at it didn't have better lines. They were better at the parts nobody practices. Opening, staying curious, actually listening, noticing when someone isn't into it, staying calm, and leaving well when the conversation isn't there.
So I built NERVE with the advice of my friends. It is a place where you train conversations before it matters. Three minutes of voice with a character who might be interested, might be distracted, might be guarded, might just say no. Then a scorecard on how you handled the conversation, not whether you won it.
No scripts, no lines, and nothing about pushing past a no. If the other person isn't interested, leaving well is the right move, and the scorecard treats it that way.
What part of starting a conversation do you find hardest? For me it was always the first sentence.
