Hi Product Hunt — I’m Joseph Pagan, the founder of NearHalo.
NearHalo started with my dad. After he suffered a stroke while living alone, I wanted a better way for our family to stay connected without taking away his independence.
I built NearHalo as a family caregiving and wellness app with two perspectives: one for the person choosing to share, and one for the family members or caregivers they authorize. The goal is not to replace medical care or emergency services. It is to make everyday family awareness and coordination clearer while keeping choice and dignity visible.
NearHalo is currently free on the U.S. App Store, and I’m opening this founding period to learn from real families before deciding how the next premium capabilities should work.
I would especially value feedback on three questions:
1. Does the purpose of NearHalo make sense immediately? 2. What would make you feel comfortable inviting a family member? 3. Where does setup or the caregiver relationship feel unclear?
