I'm Om, the founder of Merit Mindz.
What got me started:
I spent a few years building websites and software for education businesses. Every single one of them, whether it was a 50-student tutoring centre or a 2,000-student exam-prep academy, had the same setup underneath: a WhatsApp group for announcements, printed question papers, a spreadsheet for fees, a Google Form for admissions, and Zoom for classes. Five or six disconnected tools, and a person in the back office stitching them together by hand.
They all wanted their own app. Every quote they got was five figures upfront plus maintenance, which for most of them is more than a month of revenue. So they stayed on WhatsApp.
The problem I am actually solving:
It took me a while to see that the real problem was not "they need software". It was that education businesses lose money in the gaps between tools. A student who does not get the test reminder does not take the test. A parent who has to visit the office to pay fees pays late, or not at all. An enquiry that sits in a Google Form for three days goes to the academy down the road.
Merit Mindz closes those gaps. Test series, live classes, admissions, fee collection, a store for selling notes and courses, all in one place, and all of it inside an app that carries their name and logo, not mine.
