MemoK
A local-first iPhone recorder for real-world interruptions
MemoK is a local-first iPhone recorder for meetings, lectures, interviews, and long recordings. It is built for interruption recovery, quick photo or video switching, smart auto-splitting, Markdown notes, and cleaner export. No accounts, no ads.
Hey Product Hunt! I’m the maker of MemoK.
I built it because most iPhone recording apps work fine until real life starts: a call comes in, you switch to Camera to snap a whiteboard, or a long session becomes annoying to review and export later.
So over the last few months, I kept refining MemoK around those exact failure points:
- stronger recovery after interruptions
- more resilient recording during quick Camera switching
- automatic segmentation for long sessions
- Markdown notes attached to recordings
- batch export and cleaner file organization
- local-first storage with no account and no ads
MemoK isn’t trying to be an AI note taker or a phone call recorder. It’s a recorder for meetings, lectures, interviews, and field notes that behaves better in messy, real-world iPhone workflows.
One part I personally find especially useful is exporting recordings in segments together with Markdown notes, so the material is easier to review, organize, and bring into AI tools later if that’s part of your workflow.
I’d love feedback on two things:
1. What usually breaks your recording workflow on iPhone?
2. If you export recordings into AI tools later, what structure helps most?
