Who hunted Meikyu?
Meikyu was hunted by Demi Valerith. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community. Every day, a gate opens on a new floor of the dungeon. Five residents wait behind it. You have six tries to work out who they are — and where they stand.
The report after each sortie marks exact matches, misplaced residents, and misses. That solves today’s floor — but the deeper puzzle takes longer. The dungeon has unwritten house rules about who stands together and where certain residents appear. Nothing lists those rules for you; you learn them by playing, and confirmed discoveries are saved in your Dungeon Codex.
Where Meikyu goes its own way is the long-term structure: a roster of thirty-six original residents with their own art and lore, a Dungeon Codex that records every rule you prove, consecutive floors after the daily one, a Training Grounds mode, and a native iOS app. The art, writing, rules and code are all Meikyu’s own.
