MBCompass

A full navigation utility in ~2MB

This launch evolves MBCompass from a simple compass into a lightweight, real-world navigation utility. It now adds full GPX track recording, so you can record routes, add waypoints, view stats, and export easily. What makes it stand out is how much it does while staying lightweight and focused. No bloat, just the essentials that matter when you’re outside. Compass + live location + track recording Waypoints, stats, and GPX export Reliable foreground tracking No ads, no tracking, no accounts

Hey everyone 👋 I’m Mubarak, the developer of MBCompass. This is actually a second launch, but a very different one. MBCompass started as a simple, clean compass app. With this release, I’ve pushed it further into something I personally felt was missing: a lightweight navigation tool that you can actually rely on outdoors without the complexity of full maps apps. The biggest addition is full GPX track recording. You can now record routes, add waypoints, view stats like distance and speed, and export everything easily, all while keeping the app fast and minimal. I intentionally avoided adding bloat. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, and no dependency on Google Play Services. Just the core features that matter, built to work reliably. Just 2MB APK Size \o/ Would really love your feedback on: The tracking experience (recording, stats, export) UI/UX flow with the new bottom bar What feels missing vs what feels unnecessary Also happy to answer any technical questions about how it’s built. Thanks for checking it out 🙌

Who hunted MBCompass?

MBCompass was hunted by Mubarak Basha. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
