Lume is a native Windows notes app (WinUI 3, no Electron) that stays hidden until you need it. Shake your mouse or press a shortcut, write, and press Esc — it’s gone. Beyond quick notes: a scratchpad that does maths as you type, freehand drawing on notes, and local-first storage with optional OneDrive sync. Free for up to 20 notes. Reading, search and export always stay free.
no electron is the real selling point for me honestly, half my ram usage these days is just notes apps idling. does the shake gesture ever false-trigger though? I drag windows around fast enough sometimes that it'd probably look like a shake to whatever's listening.
