Logic Pro MCP is a local, fail-closed MCP server for AI-assisted music production. It gives Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, and custom agents live Logic Pro project readback plus stateful control of tracks, MIDI, transport, and the mixer. Agents can verify a change against the active project instead of treating the DAW as a black box.
I built Logic Pro MCP because "write MIDI" is only half the problem. An agent also needs to read the live project back, see whether the intended track and region actually changed, and fail safely when it cannot verify the state.
It runs locally alongside Logic Pro, so it is meant for people who want agent assistance without putting their project file behind a hosted API. The source is MIT-licensed, and the repository includes a demo plus install instructions for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, and custom MCP clients.
I'm especially interested in where the verification boundary feels right or too restrictive for real production workflows.
