Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Gavin, the maker — an indie founder. I love going to museums and just looking at
paintings. I was inspired by those YouTube videos that animate classic artworks with
AI, and the talking portraits in the Harry Potter movies, so I built this app: it
generates new animated artwork every night, in styles from across history and
cultures (Renaissance, Ukiyo-e, Art Nouveau, etc.). I considered making a wallpaper
app, but animated art would be too distracting as a wallpaper, so I built a
screensaver instead.
An agent generates the pieces every night, then reviews its own output and re-rolls
anything that looks bad. That keeps the quality up without me hand-checking every
night.
The free version includes many artworks already; a small subscription unlocks the full
collection and funds the generation (yes — generating a fresh video every night
genuinely adds up).
Would love your honest, even brutal, feedback. And I'd most like to know:
would you actually keep this running on your Mac? And if you wouldn't pay for
it, what's missing? "It's not for me" is a totally useful answer too.
