I built LidCommit to make continuous saving completely frictionless:
- 🔒 Zero CPU Polling: Monitors native OS lid-switch interrupts instead of burning battery with constant timers.
- 🤖 Smart Commit Messages: Automatically crafts clean, descriptive git messages from your actual diff using Gemini 2.0 Flash, OpenAI, or local Ollama instances (with zero-config timestamp fallbacks if offline).
- 🛡️ Built-in Security Wall: Automatically halts commits if `.env` files, AWS/Gemini keys, or cryptographic secrets are detected.
- 🖥️ Native Desktop Dashboard: Pitch-black modern UI with live commit logs, per-project pause toggles, and instant manual sync buttons.
- 🪟 1-Click Setup Installer: Standard `.exe` installer for Windows with Start Menu shortcuts and background startup options, plus pre-built macOS & Linux binaries.
