LassoCut
Background removal API + plugins. Credits never expire.
Remove image backgrounds where you already work: Photoshop, Figma, Shopify, WordPress, GIMP, Zapier, Make, n8n, a CLI, Python, a batch tool and AI assistants (MCP). The API is compatible with the remove.bg API. Credit packs, no subscription.
Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Jerome, and I built LassoCut on my own (it's a product of my small company, JAUPIN Design LLC).
Why now: remove.bg is closing its standalone website, self-service API and plugins on 1 December 2026, according to its FAQ. A lot of scripts, plugins and automations were written for the remove.bg API, so I made LassoCut compatible with it: change the base URL and the key, and existing requests keep working (same path, form fields, X-Api-Key header, error codes). And if you never used remove.bg, it's simply a background remover that lives inside the tools you already use.
What you can do with it:
• Try it on the home page, no account needed (3 free tries a day)
• Sign in with Google or GitHub for 50 free previews a month
• Use it in Photoshop, Figma, Shopify, WordPress/WooCommerce, GIMP, Zapier, Make, n8n, from the command line (npx lassocut-cli), in Python (pip install lassocut), in a batch tool for whole folders, or from Claude/Cursor through an MCP connector
Pricing: credit packs, no subscription, and credits never expire. $9 for 100, $39 for 1,000, $249 for 10,000.
🎁 Launch offer: -30% on your first pack until 8 December, applied automatically.
Honest limits: edges won't be pixel-identical to remove.bg, so please test on your own images. Car and 3D shadow styles aren't there yet (the drop shadow is).
I'd love to hear where the cut-out fails for you (hair, glass, fur, logos...) and which tool you'd want next. I'm here all day to answer 🙂
LassoCut is independent and not affiliated with Canva or remove.bg.

LassoCut was hunted by Jerome. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
