Just Enough

A puzzle game where the only move is removing things

Just Enough is a puzzle game built on one rule: you can't add, only remove. Every level starts overloaded — clutter, hidden-rule number lists, grids that look solved but aren't — and removal is your only tool. 10 distinct mechanics (grid logic, number chains, memory match, category sorting), a daily shared puzzle, and difficulty that adapts to the player. Free, no signup. Not on Play Store yet — sideloadable APK live now. Built solo.

Hey everyone 👋 Solo dev here. I kept noticing that most puzzle games are about building or matching — adding pieces until something clicks. I wanted to try the opposite: what if the only move was taking things away? A cluttered desk, a list of numbers with a hidden rule, a grid that looks solved until you check twice — and your one tool is removal. That constraint ended up generating a lot more variety than I expected — 10 different mechanics so far (grid logic, number chains, memory match, category sorting) all built on the same core idea. Along the way I also added a daily shared puzzle everyone gets at the same time, and difficulty that adapts to the player instead of one fixed curve. It started as a side project and turned into something I wanted to actually ship — handling everything from level generation logic to auth to crash reporting myself has been its own puzzle. Free to try, no signup needed. Would genuinely love feedback — especially on which levels feel like a fair "aha" moment vs. which ones feel unfair. Tier 5 ("The Summit") is where it gets mean. Happy to answer anything about how it's built.
