For the last year we've been running paid operational audits for service businesses. The pattern was uncomfortable: every single audit surfaced $150–400K in annual waste. Not 8 out of 10. Every one. Missed after-hours calls dialing the competitor, estimators spending a third of the week on manual takeoffs, $200K+ of open quotes with nobody following up, paper forms burning 20 hours a week in re-keying.
