I built Iqra Quran because most Quran apps I tried felt cluttered: ads between verses, pop-ups, and features hidden behind subscriptions. I wanted something calm that I'd actually open every day. So Iqra is completely free, with no ads, and it works offline.
What you can do with it: 📖 Read all 114 surahs offline, with translation and transliteration under every verse, or switch to the classic Mushaf page view 🌍 Choose from 116 translations in 46 languages, including Urdu and Indonesian, each downloaded once and then available offline 📚 Open tafsir on any verse: 22 commentaries in 7 languages, including Ibn Kathir, saved to your phone as you read 🎧 Listen to 5 renowned reciters, with repeat, background play and offline downloads 🧠 Memorise with a Hifz mode that schedules your reviews using spaced repetition ✅ Plan a khatam (finishing the whole Quran) by a date you choose, even "before Ramadan". You get a daily portion that catches up automatically if you miss a day. 🕋 Watch Makkah and Madinah live inside the app, with the next prayer time at each mosque 🕌 Daily tools: prayer times and alerts, Qibla compass, duas, tasbih, zakat calculator and a Hijri calendar
The app is available in English, Urdu, Arabic and Indonesian, with full right-to-left layout, and Urdu set in proper Nastaliq script.
On privacy: what you read stays on your phone. The app never sends which surah or verse you're on.
