I loved listening to Audiobooks while commuting or at home it had soo much emotions to it! the way narrators put you through emotional situations that felt surreal and it stuck through and through. I finished almost 10 Audiobooks in a month but I still wanted a read along way that I could follow the narrator and track my reading metrics I needed data to measure myself... So In May I started brainstorming on how I can fix this issue? --After two months of careful planning and development I built HushBook -- an audiobook player that transcribes any audiobook you throw at it, completely free and unlimited transcription on device, I put no ads, it transcribes in 99 languages and more importantly its 100% private no tracking and completely local. You can download approx. +20,000 audiobook for free, these are all open library books sources from LibriVox and Internet Archive. Or you can upload you own audiobooks I also made sure that I provide accessibility for those who are suffering from ADHD/Dyslexia, I enabled specific fonts and highlight features that helps them read while they listen to their favourite audiobook. You can create characters that help you visualise the story line and its cast this become profile trees that show each relationship to other characters (my favourite feature) Save quotes from your audiobooks and share it as posts. Frame your audiobooks, update your friends on your current reading. Complete data visualisation of your reading behaviour track your favourite genres, add reading goals, track words read, get reading summary out of your audiobooks read - this is the core analytics that took major of time building ie Machine learning heuristics. This is not a "Text-to-Speech" app this is Read as you listen app. All the voices of audiobooks on app are Human and no AI speech is used or encouraged. This app is built for actual use that enhances your reading experience not fatigue them with Slop, Its solo developer behind this project that I genuinely care about. All I need is for actual readers who would love and appreciate the art of reading using technology, that makes reading/listening books truly an experience.
