Pete is a small plush man from a small town in North Dakota. One day he decided to go on a journey, and then remembered that he cannot walk on his own. So you do it for him. Every Redditor gets to move Pete exactly one step, once. Most steps are about a metre. A rare few are a skateboard, a bus, a plane, or an actual rocket. Then it is somebody else's turn. Nobody knows how far he gets, and that is the entire point.

You move Pete one step.
Most steps are about a metre. A rare few are a skateboard, a bus, a plane, or an actual rocket.
Then a cooldown starts and it is a stranger's turn.
Your whole turn lasts about two seconds. After that you are a spectator in something you contributed roughly one metre to.
The Moon is 384,400 km away. Reddit gets north of 100 million visitors a day — if each of them moved Pete once, he would make it about a quarter of the way there. Nobody knows how far he actually gets. There is no end screen, and that is deliberate.
Why I built it: I wanted the opposite of an idle game. You cannot grind it, you cannot buy your way forward, and the only decision available to you is whether to spend your single turn at all. Everything interesting happens because thousands of strangers are mildly invested in the same plush man.
It runs inside a Reddit post — no install, no new account, no launcher.
