HourDrop

Own the hour. One product gets the whole homepage.

HourDrop gives one product the whole homepage for a booked hour. Brands, businesses and creators bid from $10 or lock an hour for $100 at launch prices, and bring a real discount of at least 20% off. Shoppers get one deal at a time, with no account. The hour goes to whoever books it, with no vote and no editorial pick. A smaller deal of at least 10% off follows for up to 24 hours from the start. HourDrop takes no cut of the sale, and a drop taken down for a fake discount isn't refunded.

Hi, I'm Eren, cofounder of HourDrop. I know how hard it is to find the relevant channel and get customers for the product you build. I've been there. Heck, sometimes I think that I'm still in there. This is the sole reason HourDrop exists. To help people get the attention they deserve for their products. So, what is it, exactly? HourDrop shows one product at a time. For one hour that product has the whole homepage, with nothing beside it, and then the next one takes over. I built it this way, because everywhere else I looked, a product shares the page. The fight for attention is real. I needed a break from that. You book your hour on a calendar that opens seven days ahead, on US Eastern time. Bids start at $10, or you can lock an hour outright for $100. Those are launch prices. We review each drop against the rules, and past that the hour goes to whoever books it, with no vote and no editorial pick. What you have to bring is a real discount. That means at least 20% off during your hour, and at least 10% off afterwards, for up to 24 hours from the start. If a discount turns out to be fake, we take the drop down and that hour isn't refunded. I think that rule is what makes the screen worth a shopper's time. Shoppers need no account. They press one button, get your code or your discounted link, and buy at your own checkout. We take no cut of the sale. Yes, you heard it right. No commission, no affiliate stuff. Everything you make belongs to you. It fits if you sell something with a checkout today and can afford 20% off: a store, a course, a paid newsletter, a membership, a service, even your paid social media content. It's the wrong choice if you have nothing to discount, or if you want feedback more than sales. A launch day on Product Hunt is better for feedback, and the two work fine together. HourDrop is brand new. No drop has aired yet, so I have no results to show you. What I can show you is the calendar and the rules, which are all on one page: hourdrop.net/rules So the most useful thing you can give me is criticism. Would you book an hour for your product? If the answer is no, tell me what stops you: the price, the discount rule, or the fact that nothing has aired yet.
