HoldingLoop
Animated holding screens for live events, in your browser.
Beautiful animated holding screens for live events — recolour a loop, add your logo and countdown, and send it fullscreen or straight to OBS. Free in your browser, no render farm required.
Hey Product Hunt
I make live events for a living, and there's one thing that always bugged me: the screens before the show starts. That "Session starts at 10am" slide sitting dead on a giant wall while the room fills up. It sets the tone for everything, and it's almost always boring.
The fix used to mean firing up After Effects, rendering a loop, exporting a huge file, and hoping it played back cleanly on the day. Way too much effort for something that plays for ten minutes before a keynote.
So I built HoldingLoop, the tool I wanted on-site. You open it in a browser, pick from 75+ animated loops, recolour them to your brand, drop in your logo, a line of text and a live countdown, and put it fullscreen on the screen. When you're running a stream, the same look sends straight into OBS or vMix as a browser source and updates live. No plugins, no rendering, no files to manage.
It's free to use : 75+ loops, full recolouring, logo, text and countdown, fullscreen on one screen. Pro ($5/mo) adds saved brand kits and looks, a live OBS feed, and Mixer mode with multiple outputs and cue stacks for bigger shows.
It's early and I'm building it in the open, so I'd genuinely love your feedback, especially from anyone who runs events, streams or displays.
One question to kick things off: what would you put a HoldingLoop behind? A conference? A church service? A Twitch "be right back"? Tell me the scenario and I'll point you at a loop that'd suit it 👇
